Fort Myers Political Race Heats Up after Hurricane Ian!

It seems like whenever there is a really important election in the US, a hurricane hits Southwest Florida! As confusion and misinformation continue to plague Southwest Florida after Hurricane Ian, one voice rises above the rest.

Howard Sapp, a former air traffic controller from Washington DC has proven his leadership during this crisis time and time again.

Howard Sapp

Howard Sapp was out before, during and after the hurricane volunteering at shelters, delivering supplies, even helping repair residents houses to ensure that residents had power, water, and electricity. He worked tirelessly on behalf of the community and continues to do so, which is why his leadership is so badly needed at this time.

Originally from Fort Myers, Sapp returned home after a 30 year career in aviation and has proven that leadership is about taking care of those you love and care about.

To him, that means making sure there is proper legislation in place to support Southwest Florida residents all year long. He has stated that “We need to make sure that Fort Myers receives the funding it deserves” and that the residents have the support they need to rebuild and thrive.

He will not leave our most vulnerable citizens behind: our senior citizens, veterans, or any residents in need. Howard Sapp has the education, experience, and heart to make that happen.

Howard Sapp (Democratic Party) is running for election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 78. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 8, 2022.
